About Carl “Sandy” Behrend is a former counselor and Department Chair of Guidance at Orchard Park High School in Orchard Park, New York. Mr. Behrend has served as the President of both the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling and the National Association for College Admission Counseling. He also has served on the Board of Directors of the Common Application, taught college admissions to graduate students at the University at Buffalo and has been a reader for National Merit Scholarship applications. With more than 35+ years of experience in helping students and their families in the college admissions process, Behrend Consulting is eager to continue as an experienced resource to all who need assistance.
